IRELAND
Georgian Dublin first, with the Hugh Lane Gallery, where Francis Bacon’s London studio was rebuilt piece by piece, dust and all. IMMA, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, fills a seventeenth-century hospital in Kilmainham. Beyond the city, we arrange private visits to country houses whose collections are still in family hands. In Waterford, Lismore Castle Arts shows contemporary work inside a medieval castle and its gardens. West Cork and Connemara are for the slow end of the trip.
