Das Kabinett was founded in Mexico City by a German travel specialist with a background in planning journeys for museums, their patrons and private families.

That experience shaped the studio’s approach: highly considered travel, built around access, context and a close understanding of place.

Japan is a particular area of expertise, alongside extensive work across Europe, the Americas and further afield. Every itinerary is developed through trusted local relationships and first-hand knowledge wherever possible.

The studio is intentionally small. Only a limited number of trips are taken on each year, allowing each journey to be handled with care, continuity and close personal oversight.

Drawing on long-standing relationships with museums, institutions, curators, and creative communities, she brings a careful eye for curation, an extensive international network, and hands-on support to each programme.
